Former Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf dies at 79

New Delhi: General (Retd) Pervez Musharraf, Pakistan’s former president, died at the age of 79 in a hospital in Dubai, according to Pakistan’s Geo News.

After a protracted illness, the former military ruler died.

Musharraf was 79 years old and was ill for a long time. Pakistan media has given this news quoting sources. Musharraf was being treated at a hospital in Dubai. Musharraf was hospitalized for several months. Giving information on Twitter, his family had said that he is suffering from a disease called amyloidosis, due to which all his organs have stopped working.

About Former Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf

Pervez Musharraf was born on 11 August 1943 in Daryaganj, Delhi. His family migrated to Pakistan at the time of partition. His father Saeed used to work in the Government of Pakistan. After finishing college, at the age of 21, he joined the Pakistani Army as a junior officer. He fought against India in the 1965 war. Musharraf also played an important role in the 1971 war. Seeing this, the government promoted him many times. Pervez Musharraf became General in 1998.
